I’ve followed RedBull Romaniacs for years. The footage, the trails, the sheer madness — it always fascinated me. But I knew I wasn’t going to race it. I ride for the love of it — for the challenge, the scenery, and that feeling of being deep in the wild with my bike.
What I really wanted was to live the Romaniacs experience in a way that matched my riding level. Not the race. Not the suffering. Just the terrain, the vibe, the story. And that’s exactly what Hard Adventure Tour delivered.
We rode through some of the same forests and trails featured in the rally — but at a pace that let me take it in. Flowy ridgelines, river crossings, steep but manageable climbs, and endless forest singletrack that felt like it belonged in a movie. It was technical, yes — but never overwhelming. They matched the difficulty to my skill with incredible precision.
More than that, the entire trip felt like a real motorcycle adventure — not a package tour. The guide gave me just enough feedback to help me progress without ever making it feel like training. We stopped at wild lookout points, passed through remote villages, and had moments of silence that hit harder than any adrenaline rush.
I added the drone and GoPro media pack and got shots that look like something out of a documentary. It’s one of the only trips I’ve been on that truly felt crafted — not just “organized.”
If you want to ride famous terrain, push yourself a bit, and be fully immersed in what Romania has to offer — this is it. Adventure, freedom, challenge, and story. All of it.
